Location
Yishi is located across the street from the ‘second’ (more southerly) entrance to Bet Shemesh. To the north and north-west is Kibutz Tzora’s farm land and trees on the hills beyond. To the west and south is the Yishi National forest, planted years ago by the KKL. To the East is Bet Shemesh, close enough for walking access, far enough to seem distant.
Yishi is:
25 minutes to Jerusalem
35 minutes to Tel Aviv
30 minutes to Ashdod (the nearest beach)
25 minutes to Ben Gurion Airport
5 minutes’ drive or 15 minutes’ walk to the Bet Shemesh train station, offering 45 pleasant and reliable service to Jerusalem and the Biblical Zoo, the entire coastal strip from Ashkalon to Akko, Beer Sheva and Dimona, and an easy 45 minutes’ ride to the airport.
